Canada : The Admiral Issue 1911 to 1925 by George
C. Marler, is a 1980 reprint of the original 1949 handbook. This is a well put
together, yet somewhat simplified handbook detailing many of the important features
of the King George V Admiral issue. This book covers issues like retouches and
re-entries, lathework, dies and plates, imperforate and booklet stamps. For
the record, there is a split in the inside binding, but no loose pages. 1980
reprint - b/w illustrations - 75 page glue bound 10.00
Canada: The Admiral Stamps of 1911 to 1925 by
Hans Reiche Vol. 1, is his detailed look at the Canadian Admiral issue, extended
from the work by George Marler. This 136 page work details each issue with technical
data and research into re-entries, shades and other varieties. Published in
1965, this became the most widely referenced source for Admiral research and
still surfaces in discussions about this issue today. Now long out-of-print
and very difficult to find, this book is in great condition. For the record,
the previous owner has added pencil lines under a couple of passages of note,
but I didn't even notice them the first couple of times I scanned the book.

The Caricatures and Landscapes Definitives of Canada:
a specialized study by David Gronbeck-Jones. This book is out of print.
Due to the fact that in some cases more than one printer was involved in this
issue, it has been one of the more difficult for collectors to sort out and
identify. The author attempts to explain the different issues in groups, with
paper fluorescence and paper texture as two identifying fields. This is a staple
bound 44 page illustrated booklet and other than some minor paper toning, it
appears unused and in great shape. 1st edition
